Should I Sell My House Now, Or Wait Till Spring in Media, PA?

A Letter From Shirley Booth, REALTOR, ABR, CSP, GRI

The Shirley Booth Team

“We are not just real estate agents, we are real estate specialists!”

“Should I Wait Until The Weather Breaks to List My Home?” Our Team serves the Media, PA and surrounding areas. We typically have 20+ homes listed for sale and currently, we have four. This isn’t just happening to our team, it is happening across the board in our area. There is no inventory due to the wintry and hazardous weather we have been experiencing. But one thing is for sure…there is a huge demand beyond the recent weather effects from buyers. The improving economy, rising employment, and strengthening consumer confidence mean a more systemic pent-up demand has been unleashed, which is good news for both buyers and sellers. So, do you sell now and possibly have multiple buyers ready to jump on an offer. Or, wait with every other seller giving those multiple buyers more inventory to choose from. Some people say that competition is a good thing however; this is not true when it comes to selling your home.

If you read our recent blog article regarding the home on Orange Street in Media, PA (Upper Providence Township) you will see that we listed the home on a Friday and we had multiple offers in hand by Saturday. Or, the blog article of the home we listed on Yearsley Mill Road in Media, PA (Middletown Township) during a snow storm and it was sold the next day.

“Usually you turn to a friend who is a real estate agent, but Shirley Booth and her Team were real estate agents that turned into friends!”

So what does this mean to me? Perfect timing! If you have been holding off selling your home for better weather or a better market, you may want to rethink this decision. Whether you are selling to move up, scale back, or relocate, the same great reasons apply. The improving real estate market and the shortage of available housing inventory means it’s a great time to sell your home. If you are in the market to buy, the price affordability and mortgage interest rate environment are still at historic levels. You will get more for your money this year than next, since interest rates are expected to rise this year. Lower inventory may mean a longer home search, so the sooner you start to look, the sooner you will become familiar with what is available and be ready to act on the home of your dreams.

There is so much information at our fingertips today. Sometimes that can be overwhelming! We know we can be a great resource to help you navigate this market. We can send you our client’s testimonials and provide you many references. The Shirley Booth Team consists of five members…
